Default Seat Belt Holder on Seat

Ever since I went from the SN-95 to the S197, this has been a pet peeve of mine.

In the 1999-2004 mustangs there was a plastic loop attached to each seat. The seatbelt threaded through it and to grab the belt, you just had to reach up next to your head.

In my 2007 convertible, I have to twist my body and reach back behind me to get the belt. It's really annoying to me.

Has anyone here managed to take one of these off of an older model and make it work with the S197? Is there anyone who sells such a product?

Thank you.

You should have a strap that has a magnet holding it to the lower side of the seat, this is what you run your seat belt through, so you can just reach back at the bottom to grab the belt

From my experience, there is nothing in the newer seats to attach that bracket to.

My '07 GT had the snap strap at the bottom also. Real easy to reach the lower part of the belt that way.

I have found that annoying on my 2011 GT as well, I think it's because of the air bag on the seat side, Ford decided not to attach the belt there.

On my '11, I just reach back along the door sill plate and grab the belt there....makes it easy but took time to train myself not to reach over my shoulder.

Here's a cool thread that I think the seat belt strap is mentioned, along with some other things you might not have known.

I totally agree! Every time I reach back for the belt, I think I need to see a chiropractor. There must be a way to modify it!
