Default Brakes pulse a bit under hard braking

I did some hard braking the other day probably from like 80-50 mph and noticed a bit of a pulsing in the brakes. Its only under hard braking and higher speeds. I dont think my rotors are warped or anything , what else could be the cause? Braking is completely smooth under normal braking, this only happens in hard braking.

tires were roadforce balanced. Recently installed steeda sport springs and koni yellow dampers

fronts and rears were 27.0 inches in the rear 27.1 inches in the front when new so i dont think the very slight tire size difference would be an issue with ABS

It's probably your ABS kicking in to prevent tire slippage. It will automatically pulse the brakes to ensure maximum braking traction. A symptom of this is pulsing in the brake pedal.

Either above suggestion or warped rotor(s). The higher the speed, the more noticeable the pulse would become with a warped rotor. But, ABS is designed to prevent the brakes from locking up and will pulse them.

most likely the ABS, ive noticed this in different cars equiped with the ABS. Id check the rotors just to be safe, but it sounds normal

It's either warped rotors or abs. You should feel abs kick in on a dirt road. It's don't right scary feeling in my wifes car.

I would have to lean more toward a slightly warped rotor.

yep, sounds like a great excuse to upgrade to nicer rotors to me!

I have a non brembo 2011 GT, which i think has 13.2 inch rotors. I have 19x9 inch forgestar f14's on the front with 20x10.5s on the back. What are the best value rotors for the money? I probably wont be replacing mine due to this minor pulsing but i would like to know for future possibility.

I'm still learning more and more everyday, so hopefully if say anything wrong someone will catch me on it.

If it's only minor, I would say check for warpage to be sure it's that, (I don't recall all the methods off the top of my head, I appologize) but I would see if there is enough meat left on the current ones to get them resurfaced. Resurfacing would be much cheaper than a full replacement I believe.

If i recall, I think there is supposed to be a number on the rotor that shows how thin it can be resurfaced before it has to be thrown out. I would imagine unless your car has a ton of miles you should be ok with a resurfacing.

OEM pads outgas very badly and aide heat issues including warping and heat spots. Different pads would cure the problem.
