Default projector-Hid conversion

So the word is that the ccfl projector headlights from many different companies aren't quite as bright as the stock headlights. I am considering upgrading to projectors; although i am stumped if i want to convert the projectors to HID projectors. Will i have to convert the ccfl as well, or does that go with the conversion? Anyone done this before? I don't want to go with cheap HID's, or HID's that completely blind everyone. My influence is the 2013 headlights. thanks in advanced.

The CCFL is just a ring that surrounds the headlight itself, whether halogen or HID... When I went HID in my 05, I used the OEM housing that came with the integrated bulb cap. If yours doesn't have this integrated cap, then I recommend purchasing from Retro-solutions and add bulb capping to the order. It will help to prevent blinding oncoming traffic... of course you have to be aimed properly too.

I would suggest looking into projector beam with the HID lights. I had 2 different HID kits in my factory headlights and yah they do give good light but not nearly as good as my projectors. The factory lights scatter the light, even with the caps as mine had the factory caps in the lights. I bought a set from Spec-d for mine with the HID's already installed but AM and many other places have them and they need very little wiring to make them work, and the output is incredible!!
