Default Looking for rear drop only

Hi. I saw someone on here the other day that had their back end dropped only.
I cant find the post. Can anyone help?

Also, what are the disadvantages of the small drop? Realignment, tire wear, etc?
I know nothing about doing this so sorry for so many newbie questions

Dear Steven6095,

I'M THE GUY!!!

I did not want to lower all fours because of clearance problems with a chin spoiler, alignment trouble and $$$ so I purchase Rosch Rear Lowering Springs only and an adjustable panhard brace...

The web site for the springs is:
http://www.fordaccessories.com/catal...cessories.aspx

The adjustable panhard was purchased off ebay...

The result is in the pictures...

No alignment changes necessary
Better Handling
Digs out of the hole faster
Better Looking
Etc, etc, etc...

NOW -- eveything is even and level!!!

Nothing but compliments from other strangers and friends...

Best of Luck,

Dave

I too dropped the rear of my GT.I highly recommend it.I got lucky and found a lone pair of eibach pro rear springs on Ebay.It changed the whole character of the car. It actually rides better. It also tightened it up.Car sits level and looks more agressive.I think the roush springs are the way to go if you can't find any on ebay. I don't know why Ford has these cars set up so high.

Thanks Guys for the good words...

We have done what Ford should have done before they sold these cars to us...

I have a concern over the Roush springs....maybe someone here can clarify for me. Why are they only $146 on the Ford accessories website?? Eibach springs are $250 and Steeda are $260, retail. Is there a big quality difference?? Also....I too just want to lower the rear, any idea what my dealership should charge me for that service??

Thanks a lot!!

For what it's worth, I bought the Tein H springs with an advetised drop of 1.7" in the rear and .09 in the front. This setup is available on Ebay for $150 shipped to your house. The look is great and the car handles much better! I would reccommend changing both front and back becuause there may be a diffrence in spring rates. All spring sets are matched for optimum performance. I am not an expert but I know that springs and shock should be used as a set of 4.

Dear 05Vert,

I looked in the Rosch website and found the Rosch Rear Lowering Springs for $146.00 less $21.00 for rears only...

This comes to $125.00 per pair...

I got mine for $103.95 per pair which must have been "on sale" at the time I purchased them...

I don't race my car as much as other guys so the performance of these rear springs with my stock front springs perform perfectly with no problems at all...

Since I live in a big city with steep driveways, alleys and a mess of potholes in the roadway, I can't afford to lower the front end...

My chin spoiler would have "sudden death" if I lowered the front end...

Best Regards, Dave

P.S. Have your local muffler shop do the installation for alot less than a dealership...

I live by one "rule of thumb" which is -- Never take your car to the dealership unless its a warranty problem... They are all too expensive and most will not change stock parts for aftermarket parts because of the warranty issue...

Is this true....how come the Ford Accessories site sells the Rouch with a rear only option?? Please excuse my ignorance, I've never had a car lowered before. Mr. Mustang...looks like you have a chin spoiler...any clearance issues??

Thanks
