Default opinions please

I purchased a brand new 2012 GT Premium Convertible 2 months ago and am contemplating a Steeda cold air intake along with an CST tuner.

If I were to install/tune the car now, would I have any warranty or break-in issues?
Are there any serious performance and gas mileage changes that would make this (update?) worthwhile to do now or should I wait until the factory warranty is expired? I am from Canada, and am sure the warranty is different than in the U.S.

What are your opinions/experiences?

Thanks.

Technically yes, it voids your warranty. But if you find a mod friendly dealer, it's no problem. I've had lots of work done to my car with all my mods. Do some research on local dealers and go to one that is more lenient towards mods.

Having work done to items that the failure was not connected to the tune is normally not an issue. Getting an item repaired that they feel was damaged due to the tune could be an issue.

With all that said.....Canada may be very different on how the law relates to modifications and warranties.

Ummmm....couldn't find anything regarding CANADIAN warranties and tuning, under search, but perhaps I did it wrong. Maybe a couple experts like you guys could offer up some pointers.

Thanks.

Canadian warranties cover maple syrup and french fries with gravy. Not often covered in the US.
