Default Stupidity Strikes Against....Volume 2....

lkasjdaskldjaskldjasldkasdhasldkhasldklad

Ok so theres a car show here 2morrow and I really didnt feel like washing my car.

So I took it to the local car wash for a nice express detail.

Well about 10 mins later, im just hanging out, and the owner comes over and said well we have a little problem.

I walk out to my car and see my race stars and summit warriors are RUINED.
They decided to clean my aluminum wheels with.......Chrome acid.

No more shine at all, and my god they looked HORRID.

According to the owner its not his fault because i didnt inform him they were polished aluminum and they were aftermarket.

So incase anyone was curious, dont use chrome wheel cleaner on race stars.

So after 4 hours of polishing with the mothers ball and NO progress i knew it was time to take drastic measures.......

so i guess it was kinda a happy ending???

He should have asked you before using that on your wheels in the first place... You're taking it much better than I would have, that's for sure.. Another reason I will never take my place to a local car wash, the only time I will pay someone is a profession detailer who works with our club..

I'd have gone to small claims court. Any real attorney could destroy a little sign that says that. It doesn't relieve them of common sense. They clean wheels all day long. They are considered the EXPERTS. It is implied that they know what to use and what not to use on your vehicle surface.

Wow...shouldn't they ask up front the customer what finish the wheels are before cleaning them? Kind of like how a doctor asks a patient if they are allergic to anything before completing a visit and writing a prescription? The point being that they should at least have some knowledge that using ________ for/on ___________ could have adverse results.
