Powder coating bakes at around around 400 F, that is well above the melting point of almost all plastics.

Hydrograph printing with a paint overcoat, either translucent to add color or clear will look great and works well on metal and plastic parts.

Google "Ford Torlon Engine". They made a couple engine blocks out of plastic that were ridiculous. I believe plastic rods and valves too. Too expensive of a product to put into production though :/
