Most likely they will just replace the quarter panel and bumper. You probably won't like what the body shop will have to do to the car but it will be fixed. I highly doubt they will total it, I've had more damage than that. Been through the same thing crushing my quarter.

The OP's car is an 09, which is worth anywhere from $12K to $14 and 70% of that value will total the car...
I can't see more than $5000 in damage on her car and that figure isn't even close to 70% of the value of said car.

You should contact them and push them for it. Chances are they'll only pay out if they are made aware that you know about the depreciation. Ours didn't pay out until my parents contacted them and inquired about it, then the agent was all "oooh yeah, we'll take care of that". In all honesty, they probably would have tried to pass it under the radar if we hadn't brought it to their attention.

Yes, do it.. It's called a diminished value claim, I finally remembered... Easy steps to follow..

^^^ good to know I didn't know you can do that, we'll now I do! So let me get this straight , if your car is in a accident, something is put on the title? We aren't talking on the same lines as a car fax as it would show a accident? Or it's the same ****? I didn't think something is physically done to the title itself...I'm having a noob moment....

No accidents are mentioned on a Title.
In some States, you get a "Rebuilt" Title when a car is legally put back on the road after it was totaled, which isn't the OP's case here...
In FL, when a car is declared totaled, it's gone.

It'll just show up in the history of the car.. Which in most cases diminishes the value..
