Just dropped the car off at the dealer....
I bought my 2011 GT back in July, with 20K on the odometer. I dropped off the car for the AC not cooling very well, and also the infamous front end noise when going over bumps. When the service advisor typed in the VIN, he told me it was just in there last summer to have the compressor replaced with a supposedly upgraded one, and back in May of this year to have the sway bar replaced, because of the noise issue!! I let him know about the lower control arm issue from reading the board here, and he acted like he knew about it.
With that being said, I must say that I'm not getting a warm fuzzy feeling about this car. This is the first Ford vehicle I have bought, it is less than 2 years old, and only 20K on the odometer, and it has already been in the shop at least 3 times, and the problems still exist. Not good...not good at all.

I hope you're right. The funny thing is, I traded in an Infiniti G37 Sport for this car because I wanted to get back into a V-8 after missing my 06 GTO that I had for 5 years. Hopefully I haven't made a grave mistake....

LOL...not wanting to do any trading anytime soon. However, if I do, it won't be for another Mustang at this point. GM(Government Motors) is off the list, because they accepted a 6 billion dollar bailout and don't appear able to repay their debt by November. Imagine that. That's OK, GM....the taxpayers will pick up the slack for your sorry A***S!! I hate Chryslers with a passion, so they are off the list. So, that pretty much leaves nothing but foreign made vehicles on my list.

Well, the service department just called me and they said the struts are bad, and they have to order new ones. Is this a known issue also? I haven't heard this. Regarding the AC, he said the tech said it was operating normally. I told him that I have a 2001 S-10 that will run you out of the truck if you don't turn the AC down. He said he would have the tech take another look at it. Every Ford vehicle I have been ridden in for the past 30 years or so have always had awesome air conditioning. Heck, as far as that goes, back in April me and a buddy of mine who is a good mechanic, put a can of that stop leak stuff for AC in my girlfriend's POS 99 Sebring. It hasn't leaked a bit, and it is just as cold as the Mustang!!! I know, I know.....you aren't supposed to use that stuff...but her car is a POS as I mentioned, and I really don't care about it. I wish it would catch on fire and I could watch it burn to the ground. I would pull up a chair, pop open several cold beers, and laugh my *** off as it burned into the pile of s**t it is!!! I have spent so much money on that damn thing to keep it on the road!!! It's ridiculous. However, I digress. I don't understand the tech's reasoning on the AC issue with the Mustang. Comments/advice?
