Bad idea to have it over grass. Too much moisture. I destroyed my first car this way. Pavement is the way to go.

I use a plastic moisture barrier on cement and factory cover, 4 years and no rust

ok dumb question... whats a tempo?

I store mine in my garage and have a space heater going constantly which keeps the temp somewhere areound 50 degrees I would say. I go out and start it once a week and let it run for a few minutes until its heated up. That way, when I shut my garage door back, the hot car helps reheat the room quicker.

Better to trickle charge the battery and leave it be for the winter, your way you will defeinatley create moisture in the fluids

Forget the grass ............... put it on pavement if you can, remove the snow on the tempo all the time, that way you will avoid humidity inside.

+1 on concrete but with a moisture barrier between the tires and the concrete to prevent tire rot AND DO NOT start it while it just sits. Unless you're taking it out for a 10 mile or more run each time you start it, just starting it and shutting it down after it "warms up" does more harm than if you just leave it be; any moisture in the crankcase won't burn off and will eventually create acids and sludge while it sits. But be sure to do an oil change as soon as possible before storage.

Trickle charge the battery (Battery Tender is a great brand) and place steel wool inside the exhaust tips IF rodents are an issue. Some folks like to place a dryer sheet or 2 inside the cabin to keep odors down.
