Are you stuck just on an 18'' wheel period? 19's and 20's fill up the well much better

I don't think so, at least on mine .. bolted on no problem, and continued to be no problem after a 2" drop.

I am not super familiar if there are any vast differences between our model years though?

Im just looking for some nice black looking rims, IMO black rims look better than chrome on my red stang with black stripes

Ronnie, couple things to think about:

1. The bigger the rim, you might be going to a smaller tire. Ride quality could be affected.

2. The bigger the rim, quite possibly the heavier the rim.

Without supporting mods, more than your ride quality could be affected. I've put big wheels on previous vehicles. Stock braking and front suspension pieces were always stressed to a point where I've broken things and/or replaced brakes at more frequent intervals.

You'll also have success stories from people, too, but just don't be surprised if you start having problems, is all.

IMO, 18's are just fine on an 05.

Not necessarily true. With 19's and 20's you have to go with a lower profile tire in order to maintain the ~27" tire OD. Therefore the overall net OD is basically unchanged.

And +1 on degraded ride quality (less sidewall) and degraded performance (more rotational mass). Some folks notice them, others don't.

IMO (and again, just me...), all black rims are very "in-the-hood"ish and simply fail. Add a little chrome to the outer edge and it totally changes the look to aggressive. But it's your car, your call.
