Default Crazy 2005 gt problems

I posted a thread a while back about my fog lights not working properly after installation. It was suggested that It could just be te relay an that seemed to have worked until recently.

I put the stock lights back on an now I have 2 light issues

1. The fog lights won't turn off after I Turn them on until I shut the car off and the door is open. Every once in a while they will work right for a few minutes, but very rarely.

2. My brights are stuck on all the time, no matter what. Keys out, door open and lights switched off my brights are still on. I had to pull the relay so the battery wouldn't die.

3. This is the weirdest part, when I turn my fog lights on, my doors lock. Just the first time. And occasionally my door locks will cycle when the car isn't running.

After research it looks like maybe the actual light switch is bad inside the car, is there any way to be sure before I buy one that's what I need? And any ideas what could cause the doors to lock

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Have you had any rain in the past week with the car sitting outside? Wet carpet by the passenger kick panel? Are you aware of the water leak TSB and the electrical gremlins associated with it?

To a certain extent, I read about the issue but never found any water inside by my kick panel when I checked. But I couldn't find anyone having any of these issues because of that. I might have just not researched it enough but the only thing I found was the doors locking and unlocking over and over, which happened to me once but the at was in the garage and it was very dry at the time. Is it possible there could be a leak affecting my lights, and causing the doors to lock when I turn the fogs on?

Depending on how the leak runs around/thru the SJB (assuming your problem is the leak), it can cause different symptoms from car to car.

Here's a link to the manual with wiring diagrams which may help you troubleshoot: http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=1

First thing I'd do myself if you've verified the wiring already would be to pull the SJB and check for corrosion, and clean it up as best you can if any on the contacts and/or pins is noted. I'd check the grounds coming off the SJB first thing as well, as that would also explain it.

Lights, door locks, etc, all that is controlled from the SJB. The triggers are light switches, locks, etc, but what actually does the work is the SJB. While I don't wish to jump to anything hasty, it sounds like the SJB is the issue from the description. That cutting off after opening a door is the delayed accessory line, which is supposed to supply power to only a couple things, such as the radio and windows for 10minutes after turning the key to off, or until a door is opened.

I had some funkiness in my previous 06 like that. My current 08 pops the trunk randomly, bump in road, 3am for the hell of it... likely due to the mechanism being slightly off rather than the SJB, but I still have yet to rule it out due to the steady annoyance of it for periods, then it's fine again for a long stretch. Like now, it's been fine for the past week, before that for 2 weeks straight every-time I went out, *click*, either from a bump hit, hard acceleration, or simply for the hell of it while it sat..

Helpful link, and thanks for the input, ill go ahead and check the SBJ and clean it up. It sounds like that might be the root of my problem.

Thanks

Might actually be worth it to take it to a dealer to have them check it out with the proper tool to check for DTC's on the SJB in this case should cleaning everything up around there not solve the issues.
