oil burning?
Hay guys, i do my own oil change and use 5w20 amsoil oem synthetic oil and put 6qt that brings it up to the top hash mark after putting 5000kms i decided to look at oil level and its down half way from top to bottom in between hash marks. cars isnt leaking and no smoke. is this normal usage? i have 75000 kms or 46000 miles on car

They are notorious for pulling excess oil vapor through the PCV hoses and burning it off. Best thing to do is check your level periodically and top it off. You can also buy a oil/air separator to reclaim the oil in the PCV lines and prevent it from entering the intake and funking things up.
I have 48k miles and go through a quart every 6k

It is a 2010.. The recommended is 5-20 however I don't buy into that because that's mainly for CAFE fuel consumption standards.. 5-30 or 10-30 is mucho better to use and only takes a hair longer to warm up.. IF I lived in the northeast or something that would be different.

I usually look at it twice in between oil changes! It always goes down a little after 4 to 5000kms! It was at the top of hash mark and after 5000km it's down to in the middle of hash mark its still in safe zone but I'm still wondering why it would go down like that! I don't beat my car at all
