Why not keep the 07 and purchase a new 2013? I'm thinking about buying a 2013 gt auto when my wifes car is paid for. She would drive it some and it would keep her from putting more miles on her car, the tow vehicle.

if you've managed to keep a blown GT with no issues for this long I'd say take the good advice being offered and stay with the car.
Can you buy an extended warranty for any sudden things that tend to start popping up after about 50,000 miles? Not sure if they will sell you one if you're off warranty or have those mods but it could give you peace of mind.

I'd also suggest it because it's so much better to walk to your modern classic Mustang than the new ones! Those 2010+ rear ends just don't have that feeling at all, IMO.

Most used car extended warranties only cover drivetrain issues. Not the things like starters, alternators, A/C systems that typically start to wear out (and I'd say closer to 80K+ not 50K..)

Those extended warranties that do cover 'bumper to bumper' cost more than they're worth. You can pocket the money and even if you have some major problems without a warranty, you still come out ahead.
