It's not the road so much as your speed. I use 6th for 50-55 mph and above. Any slower and there is not enough torque.

You can't use 6th gear except on the highway. Attempting to do so on any other surface will cause the car to spontaneously explode.

6th gear on the 2011+ would technically be overdrive
5th is 1:1 ratio IIRC

Same here, I can go as slow as 40ish mph with the 3.73's and I've never had a problem bogging down even in the hilly area I live in.

3.73 is a gear ratio.

lol

It's just like any other gear. Pick whichever one suits you. It's the great thing about driving a manual...it's all up to you!!

I hate this. I normally start out in 2nd because 1st is so ridiculously low (3.73's).

Yeah, 1st is almost useless if you have the 3.73 gears. I only use it when starting a hill.

I would prefer a taller 1st gear and two overdrive gears for highway cruising. You know, the same thing the Camaro guys have now.

I like my 3.31 setup on my 2011.. 1st is fine and ends at like 40 mph. redline in 4th is 130.. 5th is nice for town cruising around 40-50 mph, 6th is great for highway.

for the 1/4 mile though, if you trap around 116, 3.73's are perfect since you end at around redline in 4th at the trap, and im sure hitting 2nd hard and spinning a ****load can be glorious
