yes i would be trading it in. I mostly use the vette for highway use rarely on any twisties, which is why i was interested in the 500. I LOVVVEEE the Z which is making it tough to decide what to do.

Can't imagine driving a new Z06 and being uphappy with it. But then again, I haven't driven a new GT500 . . . so who knows .

I am keeping a close eye on the c7 announcements. I love vettes. It was down to a used c6 or a new GT for me this time around. I feel like once the power levels get too high it becomes kind of unusable for the way I use my car so .. these performance cars around 400ish hp are the sweet spot for me!

it sounds like you already really like your car and may just be getting the itch for either more power or something new and different. it is not difficult to get more power out of a z06 if that is the only factor. this will be a personal decision for sure.

In my opinion... and I may get flamed for this... A vette is a vette and to me has a higher pedigree. It is more of a supercar in my mind. If you buy a GT500 it is still a mustang. Dont get me wrong. I love my mustang.. but I feel like every mustang owner essentially has the same basic car even if you pay the premium for the gt500... I realize that the gt500 has a niche line motor, and a different front bumper/rear .. but to me that is not enough to make the move from a z06 to a mustang... definatley a good swap from a gt to a gt500 or a v6 to gt500.

Personally I would upgrade the ZO6. But that is just me.

I mean a Camaro ZL1 would probably be a more accurate comparison to the GT500. If you want a new/different car, and can afford it, go with a Ford GT. That would be an upgrade.

That or if you want a stang wait and see what the '15 mustang is like. If any of the rumors or true I believe that the next gen will be more of a sports car than a muscle car, and that year SVT or GT500 will probably be on a whole new level. Then if you dont like it, a new cheap '14 shouldnt be hard to come by

lol i hear ya! and trust me on this, i am not.. i absolutley love the Z and it is the badest car i have ever owner or ever been in for that matter.

Sometimes a new car comes around and the gt500 just grabbed my attention and made me start thinking about something new....but in the end who knows. i talked to the dealer where i bought the Z and he said the new Z06 should be out in 2014 but he wasnt sure could be 2015, thats a long time to wait for a new car. I ushually get something new every 2 years, but i have heard from him the new Z06 is insane with WAAAY better styling, interior, seats, ect....

if i dont go with the gt500 im sure i will hold onto the Z until the next C7 z06 comes out...
