Default spark plug change

I just changes the spark plugs in my 2006 Saleen S281SC. The saleen has 8,000 miles on it and has never been in any kind of weather. I replaced the motorcraft plugs with HT0's. I used my 1/2 drive trorque wrench and set it at 25 ft lbs. My plugs came right out with ease. I never had to use the holw 25 ft lbs to break the plugs loose. I never used any carb cleaner either. The motor was room temp and I just took my time with each plug. I was amazed on how much carbon was on the plug sleeve. Thank god it went easy. If my car had anymore miles on it I would have followed Fords TBS.

I'm getting ready to change my plugs out at ~80k....going to be a good time, lol. I'm going with Autolites. Might go with Brisk plugs down the road.

It took 55 ft/lbs with my torque wrench to get mine free and that was with some throttle cleaner sprayed in there to soak too. My car had 18k miles at the time and non broke thankfully. Its a tense moment breaking them free. LOL

808 muscle, you were very lucky. Very surprised that they did not break. What plugs did you use. I'm going to change out my injectors in a few days. I'm putting 39 lbs injectors in. I bought the Brenspeed stage 3 corvette killer package and in the middle of install. I was going to wait until winter, but I'm to excited to see how the car performs.
