You might not have mice, but what about the cat scratches in the paint

I had that exact problem on a truck that I had that sat in the driveway allot. This worked for me. http://www.ehow.com/how_2340830_use-...epel-mice.html

This is what I did.
Get peppermint extract and soak cotton ***** with it then hang about four or so of them under the hood.

I will have to try this. Got to smell better than mothballs.

Well for an update. I went out and bought some ultrasonic device that plugs into the wall and emits a ultra sonic sound that only mice and rats can hear that apparently scares them off. I put about 4 dryer sheets in the car, 2 in the trunk and about 4 - 5 in the engine bay. also put some under the car.
I found some traces of mice in my car... that's why I went over kill with the sheets.

I hope this works... next step is moth *****!

I have those ultrasonic things and I can tell you, they work. From the time I installed them, never had any mice in the house in the fall.

You know you have an infestation when you turn your key to start your car and your car says...

The absolute best method I found to catch mice are glue traps and good bait!

With good bait, mice get stuck in a matter of seconds of you putting the trap down.

There is another way. Put a 5 gal bucket half full of water with peanut butter all around the rim. Then lay a 2x3 up to it. The mice walk up start to eat the peanut butter and fall into the bucket.. My brother-inlaw does this all the time.
