I'm installing a blower and will have exact addons as previous owner except my cams are ford racing. Would it be safe to just load up his tune he had on his car? Just to drive to the dyno

79zoom,

If you're already going to be paying for a dyno tune, then there's better ways to go about this. First, put a down payment on your Dyno tune at the Speed shop. Then, typically if your tuner is using a SCT or Diablosport device, they'll write you a safe tune and send it to you via email. You can easily upload the tune onto your hand held tuning device from the computer and then from the hand held to your OBDII port. Of course, this will not be a tune you can drive aggressively on, but it should be more than enough to get you to the dyno.

If you tuner hasn't mentioned anything like this to you, then give them a call and bring it up to them. Most shops will be more than happy to set something up like this for their customers.

Hope this helps!
