Default Back seat fold down release

There is no fold down release on the drivers side back seat of my car. Felt around all over and found the slit in the back of the seat where it should go through but it's not there. First time trying to fold them down since new Lol. Any suggestions? I tugged quite a bit on the seat back, but doesn't look like it's just going to pop down.

I'm pretty sure the seats don't fold down. I could be wrong...

Passenger side does. Found the same slit on drivers side but no pull cord to release.

Both seats fold down. On the upper outboard side should be a strap you pull. It may be tucked behind somehow- that is the seat release, just like the pass side.

Went thru the same thing on my 07, both straps were tucked in so it took me forever to figure it out the first time i needed to put my back seats down.

Have you looked in the trunk for the release?
