Default sound system question

I have a 2008 v6 mustang and I want to put my deck, amp and subs into it but I was told I would have to buy a certain pack module in order for my subs to work properly with the lights, etc. I'm wondering if i actually NEED to buy it and what that module is called. Also, if/where I can buy it online?

If you have your own everything, sub, amps, speakers, and deck, all you will need is a wiring harness to get the deck hooked up. After that all you need is to hook everything up to the deck and subs and get power to the amps. If you don't have your own speakers and an amp for them the harness will still work, they are pretty cheap. You will also need an adapter to make the deck fit. What lights are you talking about with the subs?

Ok, well the next question is how much power do the subs draw? under 500 watts they won't need anything. I know because I have had a sub that draws that and I never had a problem. more than that you might need a capacitor, or a second battery in the trunk. Usually a battery works best.
