Default 11" Brembo Rims

I'm looking to have my Brembo rims widened to 11". I read a few threads where people said this may work, but didn't see anyone who actually tried it. Will this work OK with 315s? Also, I just bought new tires that are recommended for a 9-10.5" rim and don't want to let them go to waste. Will it be OK to put them on the 11" rim for now?

Yuu haven't seen it because it's not really worth it. You'd most likely be better off buying new wheels that suit your needs.

I looked for new wheels for a while but couldn't find any that I liked more then the brembo rims that would fit over the brembo brakes. I know its more expensive to have them widened then to buy new wheels, but its what I want.

see link below...

When I had my 2008 GT500, I was going to have them widen my rear 20x10 Supersnake rims based on all the positive feedback I read on the TeamShelby site...plus I called and talked to them, and they were great. It's definitely not cheap, but very doable.

As far as using the tires you have now on an 11" wide rim....what size are they?

thanks for the link, I've seen a lot of people recommend them, but I ended up dropping them off at a place a little more local that's suppose to be pretty good as well. the tires are 265/40/19. they guy that took them said they should stretch to fit the rim. If not, guess I'll be getting new tires sooner than I thought.

Good deal, and good luck!

Yeah, it may be just me, but I wouldn't stretch a 265 on an 11" wide rim....not that you can't, but I just wouldn't do it. A 265 belongs on a 9" wide rim.
