I'm pretty sure the fuel pump comes on when the key is turned to the on position, without starting.

Turn key to "ON" position. Fuel pump is provided with power and starts to pump fuel.

It will run for 3 seconds when the turn the key to on. I'm not sure how long that will take to drain the tank.

I found this on another forum might work. "Go to your local auto parts store & get a $15 auxiliary fuel pump & 10-15ft of 3/8 rubber fuel line & some hose clamps. Put about 10ft wire leads /w alligator clips on them & hook it to a battery/power source & let it pump away."- shortstuf121 from http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...-out-tank.html

If your going to be removing fuel often you might look into http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...9224_200129224 or something similar to make your siphoning go faster.

YOu could just use a syphon pump. Walmart has one for 18. I’m not sure how good it is though, but it will definitely be faster then turning the key on/off over and over again to get the gas out of your tank.

can't syphon out of any 2005 or newer ford. have to take the fuel line off at the filter and the activate the fuel pump or remove the fuel tank. but there must be a way to bypass the relay or what ever to make the pump think the car is running.

I'm sure you can use a jumper wire in place of the relay, but i've never had to do it.
