Default K&N filter charger

ok guys, im thinking about getting the k&n filter charger for my 06 GT. i have a price of $260 off the net. i read the k&n site, and it says you get like 15.26 hp and has a dyno chart to prove it(although it is a dyno of an 05). first, does anyone have experience with this filter charger(pt# 63-2565)? second, can anyone tell me if this can really be true, i mean 15 rwhp from an air filter? third, will i need to do any mods because of the increased airflow, ie will i be running too lean? lastly, does anyone know where i can get it cheaper? thanks for any info you can provide guys.

I have the K&N CAI, I installed it last month. Install was fairly easy and no tune was required, I haven't gotten any engine warning lights. I'm going to get a tune anyway because I think that will better utilize the CAI, plus the throttle delay is annoying especially in a manual tranny.

Butt dyno says it definitely added some hp... enough to notice... I think I've seen real dyno charts showing 9hp from it.

Hope that helps.

K&N is a fine product. there are many cold air options available. You will have to use a tuner to get those numbers, maybe more. The check engine light will come on because with the extra air, you will lean out your fuel . not enough to hurt your motor but enough to trigger a code. The computer is very, very sensitive.
