anyone here made a aluminum drive shaft to replace the two peice on the s197. any reccomendations. thanks

DSS driveshafts. The only one that didnt vibrate in my car.

i have a ford ranger one and a buddy that does balancing on driveshafts has a shop ... just wondering if anyone has done one

when it comes to stuff like that in a car, i wouldnt make it myself. thats like making my own headers... not happening/

I have heard of using a cut down ranger shaft but the vibration issue is such problem with the s197 platform..... The first two DS's I tried vibrated. Could not dial it out. My third attempt the DSS unit actually works, no issues at all. My point it is, good luck trying to build your own, you have a tricky platform your trying to tame.

I'm going to assume he means build the car how he wants with parts he buys. Not parts that come on for extra $

However if he's going to fab himself up a DS I recommend cameras to record and post what happens
