If it is not collected by the owner after so many days it becomes property of the company. If they want they can throw it to dump, part salvage companies, or sell it at auction.
Yes, I have the title.
For those of you who are not haters, thank you for your input. I will change the oil and see how it goes this week. I am hoping the gaskets are fine, I was told I can use break cleaner to test that. I will give that a shot as well.
Being a good person pays off, I am a family friend of hers, that is why I got this steal. And when I sell it, if I do, I am giving her more than half - they need it.

$635 05' Mustang - Little Issues
Gents,
No lie, I got this Stang for $635 because a friend of the family owned a tow truck company. They part out vehicles instead of selling them when the state/fed law allows them to, for me to get it as a project is as simple as a request and to pay the difference.
Story behind this vehicle:
a) bought locally in 2005
b) teenage girl acquires the vehicle from parents
c) goes to community college
d) goes on road trips
e) engine over heats
f) get advice and adds radiator fluid to car
g) goes 20 miles and car breaks down
h) never claims car from Colorado State Patrol
i) loses title rights (as per state law) and it goes to the tow company
j) I buy it, get the title, I own it.
I discover:
a) she dumped radiator fluid into the engine
b) she did this because she was low on coolant and didn't know that the freeze plug was missing.
c) i flush the engine twice it twice to ensure the engine isn't leaking fluid into the engine
d) runs fine, got it to 80MPH, temp stays fine.
e) I drive it, does fine, find steam in the engine - see it come form the thermostat valve/part.
f) discover that the engine was HOT HOT HOT and the thermostat valve was warped (so I think).
Any input? What else should I look for?
-Paul
