Default Galaxy S3 + Sync issue

Just picked up my 13' GT this morning and fiddled around with things in regards to sync stuff and seems the only thing I cannot figure out is how to get Text Messaging to work with S3 aswell as play music through USB cable..

I've read on multiple forums for other vehicles of the S3 issues with text messaging and an overall issue with androids and USB.

Was curious is anyone on here has figured out the magic touch to get these to work.

My HTC phone has an app called "DriveSafe.ly". Sync seems to only read my messages aloud when that is active. I think it was a free app already on my phone seeing as how I don't remember installing it from the app store.

try pairing it as a bluetooth device and then you can play music over bluetooth if you want. alot easier than plugging the phone in the usb every time you drive.

I had an issue with my Iphone in the same manner. It was after an IOS update. When the next IOS update came out the issue was resolved. It may not be a Sync problem. But a phone operating system problem.

You can also check to see if you put the sync app on your phone if that helps at all.

bluetooth is how I usually do audio from phone but doesnt seem to let me select music I gotta do it on my phone... I may just buy a usb stick make life easy and they are pretty cheap now for 32GB ones. just liked plugging it in cause it would also charge my phone. which is why I hope text message gets resolved and usb sync so I can just plug it in and not worry about it till I'm out of the car.

I am not impressed with my car going through a usb stick for music. multiple times, it's stopped reading about 2/3rds of my music collection until I format it and add the music back on, and often times it just disables random songs all together and goes down the list.

just a fair warning you since you're already having a frustrating experience.. lol

Why not burn it all to a dvd or cd and then put it on the HD in the car?

My 2011 came with a 10GB HD. I believe that all they sync units come with a 10GB HD could be wrong. The files do have to be coded in audio format and all the info has to be correct.
