Trunk lid lift cylinders

Anybody ever have to replace the trunk lid support cylinders on their S197? I think the ones on my '06 have gone South.

never had to replace on a stang but i had a 85 iroc and bought aftermarket from @dvan%ed auto P*rts and they worked for 2 yrs til i decided to sell. hope this helps. by the way i bought the middle priced ones.

They can lose their effectiveness over time, but temperature also affects them. They work better in the hot than the cold.
