Default Sold the 2005 GT

We sold the 2005 mustang GT. She had 79K miles on her, and we got $10K. Do you think we got a decent trade value ? Prior to this, we also sold our 2006 supercharged GTO. We ended up getting a 2012 Jetta and a 2011 M6 Corvette Grandsport. We will miss the Mustang, she was an amazing ride!!

Hard to say. The dealer may have pumped up the prices for the Jetta & Vette to compensate for a high trade on the Stang, or vice -versa.

$10k aint bad cause 2005 is starting to get pretty old by this point

How did that s/c 2006 GTO scoot? I test drove a manual 2004 with intake and exhaust, that bish had some mean torque

She was amazing! It made full torque (510 ft/lb) at 2500 RPM! That car would pull incredibly hard down low. You could feel the front begin to lift if you could get a clean, hard hit with traction in first or second. It was a completely different animal compared to the vette. The vette is incredibly fast in the top end, but the goat would dominate down low.

Think we did pretty good. Dealer wanted $23k for the fully loaded SLE Jetta. I got them down to $18k and $10k trade in. I always check edmunds and kbb (even though kbb is inflated), and make sure the purchase price is always lower than recommended retail price.

Great! Always a smart idea to go into the negotiations well prepped.

Is the Jetta a V6 or 4 cylinder turbo?
My Wife had a 2000 VW Passat 1.8 turbo. The low end torque was non existant, however once in the higher, RPM range the turbo would kicked in and it would take off. When repairs were needed, it wasn't cheap due to cost of parts and labor. We still got 142K miles out it and sold it!
I know the Jetta has come along way since the 2000 mode. LOL

She honestly just liked that car best out of all the similar compacts. I have the 2011 Vette and a 2009 GMC Sierra SLT. We figured, we get the most benefit if we had a compact for better economy. As much as I liked having 3 v8s ('Merica!), it wasn't cheap. Also, for the money, it also had the most desirable features. None of the competitors had key less start, heated side mirrors and seats, sun roof, and nav.

Actually, neither. It's a 2.5 inline 5 cylinder . It makes a little over 170hp and 170 lb/ft torque. It's definitely no monster, but then again, whenever the wifey feels the need for speed, she takes the vette.
