Default Roush Package Negotiation

I'm actually thinking of trading in my 05 Roush on a 13/14 Roush. It's been too much of a fix->fix->fix cycle.

I'm looking at just getting a Stage 1 to keep the costs down (an RS3 really isn't in the budget right now).

I was wondering what if any luck people have in negotiating the Roush Package pricing? I've got x-plan which right now seems to be a better deal than trying to negotiate a price drop. So that just leaves the differential on the Roush Pkg.

Anyone had any recent/past experiences in reducing the Roush Pkg+options?

I would negotiate from the standpoint of taking the cost of the RS1 package, and back it off 30%. Look at the Ford sticker price, and work below dealer invoice. Add the two up, and away you go.

It's a performance car, and I don't think they are exactly moving off the lot... you might be surprised.

Also, look for a dealership that has had one sitting around for a while - they will want to move it, most likely. And, consider a nationwide search. If you save $6K or $7K, and you have to drive it back cross-country, why not? It's still way less.
