Default P0506 Code help plz

Hey;

Going to start from the beginning, i got that same code about a year and a half ago after turning on my AC, wiped it out at autozone and it didn't come back. Last week, i took the car out after almost 2 months of not driving and after about 4 hours of driving or so, the engine light came on. I checked it and it was that same code, so i figured it might be a glitch or something cause i let my stupid friend take it for a quick ride around the block, i wiped it out and left the car in the garage for a whole week.

I took the car out last night and after about 4 hours or so, the code came back, so i know there must be a problem.

Code is P0506 and it reads : Idle Air Control System RPM lower than expected

I Google the problem and the closest thing i found was this;

http://www.justanswer.com/ford/3uesg...h-engages.html

That doesn't exactly give me a solution, so iam hoping one of you good folks would help me if experienced that problem first hand or know anything about it. I would like to mention that when i had it Dyno tuned last time, the tech mentioned that one of my O2 sensors is going bad and not working at a 100%, said something about the O2 sensor heater messing up.

2005 mustang GT Vehicle mods are :
JLT CAI
Steeda underdrive pullies
BBK short Headers
Off road xpipe
SCT 93 Octane Tune

Any help would be Appreciated

What do you mean? All the possible causes and diagnostic aids are right there

I guess i would rather hear it from some people who had this issue before, before start messing with anything else. I just took out my CAI and looked into the throttle body and it seems ok. It has a bit of dirt around the butterfly but i don't think that causes the issue, how clean does it have to be to run properly ? There isn't dirt covering it or anything, just a bit around it which looks like normal use.

The fault code is a "functional fault" as opposed to a particular "part" fault. That means you'll have to diagnose it. It looks like you got a great answer to your question on the other site. Now its time for you to get busy, or take it to a dealer. Good luck.

Check this out. It should help you

http://www.obd-codes.com/p0506

When I did mine on my F150 with 4.6, it turned out to be a dirty throttle body. Looked clean but the holes were slightly clogged.

wow this car is weird . I had a tech look at it at my shop, he told me not to worry about it since it takes so long to come back, he just wiped the code and i have been driving the car since, the code hasn't come back yet. It has been 2 weeks or so.
