Default CHE K-member brace with torque limiters...who has one

I haven't finished my header install yet, but I'm worried about the possibility of the headers hitting something (especially the steering shaft) and I really don't want poly engine mounts (I don't want the extra NVH, and they don't seem worth $130 either).

I have seen the CHE K-member brace that comes with the torque limiters and I'm wondering if those would do essentially the same job with a little less of the NVH of poly motor mounts...does anyone know?

I have one with ARH long tubes, fit's great. The brace has two holes to mount torque limiters, on passenger side you have to use to inner hole.

Did you notice much of an increase in NVH with that?

I'm liking it instead of the mounts because for $40 more than the mounts, I get something that does essentially the same thing and is a brace at the same time.

It's much less more noise/vibration than poly motor mounts. I've done both and the torque limiters are on there now with the stock motor mounts.

There has NOT been any NVH increase with any of the CHE parts I've installed.

That's what I wanted to know (and was figuring on)...thank you.

I think I may be OK with my headers, I pushed the engine over a touch and it looks like it should have around 1/4-3/8" of space between the outermost primary and the steering shaft, I'm gonna go ahead and put some shims on it too. I still may look at that brace though, that's a pretty good idea.
