Exclamation Bama Tune

Hey guys, i've done some research but i guess I'm just not finding it... So i ask this question; with an intake and Bama tune, will my warranty be voided on my 07 Mustang GT? And if so, is there any way to erase the tune from the cars computer and replace it back to stock form leaving the dealers unable to tell if the car had gotten tuned before? Please help me out!! Thanks

With a SCT handheld device you can download tunes to your 07 and then turn back to stock without the dealer knowing. Bama and brenspeed by far have the best tunes for your car. Adding a CAI and brenspeed tune to my 06 GT was a HUGE ugrade. Car ran like a beast compared to stock. Would chirp second and third gear with an automatic. You will love it.

Enjoy......

He must mean the extended warranty. Look up the Magnuson Moss warranty act.

I have a BAMA tune and yes you can return your car to stock. it is easily done just the same as pluggin in a new tune. Not sure if the dealer would know but if the computer is stock they wouldn't know it was tuned. My buddy did this when his 5.0 ran into issues running hot. just put the original tune back in.

i had believed that even if u put it back to stock the dealer can tell if it was previously flashed by a log entry...

aldensstang121,

Our SF3 Bama tuners will allow you to upload the factory tune again, if you're interested. This works great if your dealer needs to update the PCM for whatever reason. However, they will be able to see the PCM has been tuned before, even if it's set back to stock. Although, they would have to be intentionally looking for it, otherwise, there's no reason they would check or see.

Just wanted to make that clear. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Some dealerships are dicks and others are cool. I was fortunate to deal with 2 of the cool ones. They never hassled me for having a CAI & tune anytime I was in for warranty work. Of course, feel free to wuss-out and not enjoy your car until it's out of the extended warranty.
