If you are getting 22-23 with 3.73 gears, you must be babying the hell out of it. I can get 22-23 if I stay off the gas COMPLETELY while on an interstate. Any spirited driving AT ALL and my MPG drops in to the teens. And, I didn't buy this car to baby it!!

the speed limit here in South Texas you'll experience less then 25mpgs! Very disappointing.

I do have the Brembo package but not sure if that means I have the 3.73 gears?

I live here in Texas and actually I find the new speed limits to be very exciting. In addition to Texas 9% rule, we can legally run at 82mph & still be legal. on the new sh-130 you can set the cruise control at 93mph and still be safe, C'mon who cares about gas mileage? Oh wait...I drive a V6....

yes if you have the brembo pack then you have the 3;73's...just get down on your side and peek under the rear of your car and look at the rear axle housing...there is a little whie sticker right there and look at it, it will have the gear ratio printed on it...3:31 is standard on the GT's, optional on the V6's 2:73 standard on the V6's....3:73's on the Brembo packs & Boss 302's. Gt 500 prior to '13 is 3:55....3:73's optioanl, '13 models are now 3:31...

CaptainRon,
I love the higher speeds - didn't mean to sound like I was complaining, haha... I took a road trip to SH130 just so I could haul @ss legally.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to check the next time I'm under the car - Just did the tire rotation yesterday too bad I didn't read your post till just now... I did pull out the sticker and the sticker indicates 3.15 gears but I wonder if that's just a canned print out and with the brembos it over-rode that when assembled...? I'll have to get under it to find out I guess.
Thanks again.

I also live in Henderson and routinely get 18.8-19 in combined street/urban freeway driving (AT/3.15). Our heat makes a difference as does the altitude. At 3000' we've got about 10% less O2 than the guys at sea level.

Move to Texas!

Texas recently raised their speed limits up 5-10 mph. Most interstate hwy's are now 75mph in south Texas & up to 85 in rural areas. Right now the new SH-130 toll road just opened up between San Antonio & Austin TX. the legal speed limit is 85mph.

the 9% is a unwritten rule that basically means that the officers wont stop you if your within 9% of your legal speed limit. Most drivers drive at least 3-5mph over the speed limit anyway, and if your on a freeway where the speed limit is 85mph, then yeah, you can be able to set the cruise control on 90ish and not worry about being pulled over. Ive done it many times and I'm very happy that I got the V6 (2012 V6 m6) with the 2:73's... at 80mph Im just purring along at 2100rpm and the engine is just getting into its powerband... awesome... not to mention that Im still getting over 26mpg

Also Texas drivers are the best most considerate drivers I've ever seen. If you are hauling *** along a rural 2 lane highway with a 70mph speed limit and you come up behind someone going slower than you THEY will move over to the shoulder to allow you to pass. Its like you're driving a patrol car with blue lights on or something (actually it's harder to get people to move out of your way with your blue lights on).
