Unhappy my car might be TOTALED

Some idiot ran a stop sign this morning and messed her up pretty bad. I was going about 10 MPH and he was going about 20MPH. No one was injured, and that is the most important thing. The shop said it was going to be close to the damage needed to total it. It was enough to spin me completely around and into a stop sign. My rear axle shifted over a few inches and bent the passanger quarter panel too. So the front bumper, rear bumper, drivers door, Drivers and passanger quarter panel, Drivers rear wheel, Passanger rear tire, Possibly rear axle and suspension components will all need to be replaced. The other driver was in violation and his insurance is paying, but it still sucks.

My condolences. Glad you're OK and the other person is insured! That damage looks pretty bad. Hopefully, it gets squared away fast.

Ouch...

Way back in 2000, when I had my '90 LX, a drunk ran into me square in the axle as I was turning through a light. It shifted the axle over an inch or so, and it was fixed and I drove it for several years more, despite the fact that the upper torque boxes ended up partially torn away from the floorpan. It was kinda weird.

Yours looks a lot worse!

Damn! You just put the control arms on there too! Your panhard bar must be F'd up and no doubt the torque box are tweaked

It looks like it broke or bent the lca on the passenger side or it's shoved into the body.

As an avid motorcycle rider, my biggest pet peeve is people that don't come to a complete stop at stop signs. This guy wasn't paying any attention at all.

Try to get some pictures from underneath.

I am sorry for the loss. It was a great looking car. I too would love to see the underside or the rear to see what the full damage done is. Good luck finding a new one if this one is totalled.

That sucks to see. you may get lucky and not have any damage underneath or behind the quarter panel and all it will need is axle and skins.
