My first mod
A torque wrench is one of your better purchases and will see a lot of action. I don't know how I managed without one for a # of years.
As far as the dusty engine bay, whenever I wash our Stangs, the engine bay gets wiped down. Once it's clean, it's pretty easy to keep it that way. I usually let the engine bay in my SUV go longer and it will sometimes take the pressure washer to get it "right".
Sweet look with the brace, btw.

OP, congrats on the mod!
Even building engines, I've only used a torque wrench on bearing caps and head bolts. I do like to use one on lug nuts, though. You can guess torque pretty close from the size of the bolt being tightened. Might be good for the OP to learn torque values and grasp an understanding of how tight each is.
