How do I get this out of my dash?
I have this USB power thingy in the power port in my dash. It's very small and doesn't stick out from the little power plug compartment, so I can't get ahold of the thing. Any suggestions how I might remove it? Will it hurt anything to leave it there?
Here's what the profile of the thing looks like. There's a little bit of a lip, but my fingers would have to be infant-sized to fit in there.

Amy, my car has a USB port already in the armrest that will also charge a 5 volt device as well as sync to the car... this is the same port you do the sync software updates through. So the adapter isnt really required.

I don't like how the port is constant power. I keep my GPS plugged in there, have since the minute I bought the car.
Due to the constant wheel/tire combo changes on my previous car, I have used the GPS as my speedometer for many years. I have done the same since day one on my Mustang.
It stays on, and there have been several occasion I have forgotten to turn the GPS off at night, or for the weekend.
It hasn't drained the battery at all.
Though I do wish the port was switched with the ignition.
