Default 2012 GT500 Wheels on 07 Mustang

Hey Everyone -
I've been searching for a new set of wheels and I had an offer for a set of staggered 2012 GT500 19x9.5 wheels - smoke color that already have wheels with good tread. I was wanting to possible put this on my 07 torch red convertible. Is this a good deal or good idea? I like the look of GT500 wheels..

Yes, those wheels will look good on your car. Tires alone would run you $700, so depending on the newness of the tread Id say thats an awesome deal.

Are they oem gt500 rims or replicas. oem should have the ford part number info stamped into them on the inside.

The only concern I would have is that a 9.5" wheel is very wide. Your stock wheels are probably 8" wide at all 4 corners. You may have a rubbing issue at turning if they are 9.5" up front.

I was nervous about putting a 9" wide wheel up front on my 14 Mustang V6, but so far so good......there is very little room left at full turn lock. I would NOT recommend a 9.5" wheel up front.

Now, if the wheels are 19x9 up front and 19x9.5 rear......you should be good to go. You said staggered......so that should be the case.

By the way.....just so you know......wheels are "rims" and tires have the tread.

Yes....$700 is fair for that set.

Keep in mind..............19" tires are very expensive.
You are looking at $150-$200 EACH when you go to buy new ones.

Thanks. Sorry, I know about the rims/tires - just wrote that when I had worked 12 hours I will check about the 9 or 9.5 up front to make sure

The rear wheels are 20" x 9.5" and the fronts are 19" x 9.5". You will need to consider replacing the TPMS sensors with ones that are compatible with the 07-09 models and your speedometer will be slightly off due to the larger tires. $700 for a genuine set of SVTPP wheels/tires in good condition is a smokin deal! I have a set on my 2007 GT500.

Is this another troll or is this "Zentin" again ?? there is a similar thread from "Andrea53" on 10/07 called "New and Need help purchasing new wheels!" and a Quote from that thread: "I love the GT500 look - like the two toned - but not sure that 700 is a good purchase. Any thoughts? " Seems odd to me.

9.5" will work fine up front. I have 275 tires mounted on them on a lowered car and have no issues with rubbing.

$700 is a great deal for those wheels and tires, and you shouldn't have any issues with them on your car.
