Default Painted Calipers

I've decided to go ahead and do my calipers. It looks like it's easy enough that I can do it without f***ing anything up, so I'm going to order a kit tomorrow. It looks like the G2 kit is the way to go, and with my GT being a very very black GT, red is the obvoius choice.

However, I being one who usually takes the LESS obvious choice I'm also thinking about purple. I can't tell from the sample pics what shade of purple the kit comes in. Has anyone seen the purple and how does it look?

Dear Allfyre,

Stay with "Red" because they will look like real racing brake calipers...

Purple???

YUCK!!!!

Allright I'm going to go with the red like every other black GT with painted calipers I've seen. I guess I can always repaint them later. You did yours yourself, right? Would you say it's a pretty easy thing to do?

I used the red colored kit from Duplicolor. Put on 4 coats. It was real easy, by the time I got done with the 4th wheel, the first was dry so i just kept going around the car. Each coat got richer and smoother in appearance. It took me less than 2 hrs.

Dear Orion_240,

I already have locking lugs on these wheels...

I'm surprised that you didn't notice them...

You really can't tell by looking at the pictures but they are there...

In my city, the thugs don't steal just the wheels, they steal the whole car
and then chop it up in a garage somewhere for parts...

Dave

Good choice...

Or I could just trade the GT in for a Mini.
