I have over 870 on eBay with 100% feedback, and with all the eBay and PayPal protection you have, I would do it if I wanted them that bad. You may NEVER find another deal like it. I've had 4 grievances with eBay sellers, and have always gotten my money back from them. If you question it, you can actually call eBay and ask if they will protect you if you buy it. It takes a bit to find the phone number but it is there. Good luck with your purchase, or not.

Buy it. Between PayPal and Ebay you should be protected. @akdoggie has a good suggestion to call Ebay, but they always advertise buyer protection so I believe you are good. Hurry... before I buy the kit! lol

I'd ask for a picture of the ACTUAL box with part number before I purchaced. I would think any reputable seller would comply for a big ticket item like that.

I think that is pretty reasonable. If the seller gives you chit for asking, get suspicious.

The problem with Sleaze-Bay is it is geared almost entirely for the Buyer and gives total disregard to the seller. In fact did you know as a new seller this guy is at a total disadvantage. You will receive the item and have plenty of time to play around with it or flip it into your own sale or even break it before the seller even sees his money. Sleaze-Bay will hold the payment until you verify you received it and only release the payment to the seller after 10 days of having it in your possession.

Its absolutely counter-intuitive to the concept of buyer and seller in the real world where the Seller has the right to get paid before the buyer walks away with the item.

In the Sleaze-Bay world.... the buyer gets to test drive it before the seller is ever paid. And the buyer can literally damage the item and return it or claim they never received it. And the Seller is S-O-L.

So OP....the odds are extremely in your favor.

I have been selling and buying off of ebay for years , quite frankly the biggest problems are with buyers . I sold my smog pump off my 94 mustang, the thing was brand new was only on the car for a few months before I decided to eliminate it. I always mark my parts with an engraver. The guy emails me a day after he received to tell me it was seized up. So I offer to refund the money if he would ship it back to me. Instead he opens a case with ebay saying it was an old pump from the scrap yard and was no good. Once again I offered to refund the money when I got the part back and could confirm it was the original part. Still the guy wasn't happy he wanted his money right now. I finally told him than ebay would require him to return the part before they would allow to to refund him... Miraculously he said never mind , I got it to work...and he immediately closed the case.

the other big issue I see with ebay buyers is ANS I CANT STAND THIS. ...

They will bid on something , win it and then never pay... nor will they respond to any correspondence. I finally stopped allowing pple with a feed back rating of less than 5 bid on anything I sell.

Well, I run a fish boat here on the west coast and got on the boat and left on a crab fishing trip, I thought about taking a chance on that deal, but had an equipment problem and lost web. service on the boat, so no deal for me. However I bid find a kit on flea bay yesterday, 6 piston Baers for a couple hundred more, they have been shipped and the seller did everything I asked, an honest seller, and I would bet the other deal was some kind of scam, I asked the guy for a picture of the actual brakes and he said no problem, never got the picture and never heard from him again. Now I need to find a 4 piston Bbaer rear kit. Sorry for the late reply, this time of the year we're workin' our A$# off trying to make enough money to feed my mod habit, you all can help by EATING LOTS OF CRAB.

Paypal heavily favors buyers over sellers in disputes. That's part of the reason I don't sell much on there anymore, because I'm afraid of getting royally screwed.

On the same token I've been almost screwed by a couple sellers, and Paypal got me a little restitution.
