Default Scam Or Not

I've been looking for brakes for another Mustang project and check Ebay often, I ran across this, emailed back and forth with who ever this is and almost took the bait, and at the last minute I pulled out, there is no way they can sell that brake kit new for 1150.00, not to mention the shipping rate, which I am pretty sure is also impossible. If you look at the ad, give me your opinion. What kind of protection does Ebay offer on that kind of transaction? "If it's to good to be true' it probably is".http://www.ebay.com/itm/BAER-PRO-PLU...-/200987313156

Their feedback rating should be enough to tell you it's a scam.

7 Feed back, I wouldn't buy them just off of that alone. Been using Ebay for years, look for a trusted seller, anyone with that low of feedback is a no go for me.

If it is a scam, I've found PayPal very good to deal with. Twice they have gotten my money back from bad sellers.

I go by a few rules of thumb for e-bay.

1) If they have a seller rating of less than 99.5% I keep looking.
2) If the part they are selling sells for less than 20% of everywhere else I can find it (this is nearly 50% off), I keep looking.
3) If it sounds too good to be true...it is.

Looks like a good deal? Guaranteed by eBay Buyer Protection, He doesn't say there are more than one of these, I'd buy em if I wanted them!

I bought and sold many things on ebay. Yes the guy has only 7 feedbacks, but it doesnt mean he is scamming you. He only have 3 things listed not 30 .... you are protected through ebay and paypal. He only have one set of those brakes, If that would be a scam he would probably listed 10 not one.

Personally, if I were in the market I'd consider it. If you are using PayPal you are protected and then if you use something like AMEX to pay PayPal, you are doubly protected. But I've never had a problem with PayPal backing me. Nor AMEX...so I say go for it. You have virtually no risk other than your personal time.
