Exclamation Cam install need help!!

So im half way threw the install first side driver side took alot of effort to get the cam in. I think it wasnt at top dead center. I have udp so its hard to tell. The left side was very easy. If it was not at top dead center what do I do did I mess up. I thought that since nothing has slipped off for timing I should be fine.... At least I hope so.

Thanks,
Matt

Ok so after doing everything the car ran great. For a while. Idled great ran great pulled good. I thought I was in the clear. Then I started it a while later took it for a drive. Then it started to have a miss. I am getting p0345, p0349, and p0021. I am thinking it slipped a tooth I just don't know how cause the lines on the gear lined up. I am now just confused as of what to do. Any input would be great. O and merry Christmas every one.

Did you use a wedge or other method to isolate the timing chain? Crank at TDC doesn't really matter. Just makes the cams easier to install due to less followers with pressure on them. If you wedged the chain and your marks lined up between the phaser and chain, I don't see how it could have jumped timing. Assuming tou did not use a spring compressor.

So I must have had it slightly off centered cause worst thing happened. The thrust bearing cap cracked. The cam moved slightly forward and the phaser was contacting the cam position sensor. So I guess I am in the market for a used head now since those parts are mated to each head.
