Default New wheels and tires, should I return them?

I never had luck with any wheel tire combos. This is my 5th set of wheels/tires in 3 years. Always had balancing issues with replica wheels and tire sizes never satisfied me. So this time I decided to ditch my staggered setup and go oem. I picked up a set of GT/CS wheels with new tires.

What I like: balancing is perfect, ride is unbelievable being 1.5 inch lowered. The look is growing on me. Wish they were black instead of gun metal.

What I believe looks odd (or is it just me?):is the tire too tall? The tire size the guy chose was 255/45 19, which is a tad taller than oem 245/45. But boy does that fender gap, or almost the lack of looks awesome!

I just switched from running 255/40 18s up front and 285/30 19s in the back, so im trying to get used to the car being higher. I really loved the raked look of the old setup, but front tires were so short to match the back tires' sidewall. The gap up front was always a turn off for me, not to mention the fact that I really had to watch the front bumper.

So what do you guys think? Is the tire too tall or am I just over thinking the entire thing?

I think it looks great, ~28 inch is the best tire height imo. yours are 28.1

my tires are 27.7 front and 28.4 rear

with the larger tires the car will have less wheel gap and look lower but actually be higher so you wont scrape

I like the stance and the wheels much better than the ones in your sig!

they look fine to me. you can always paint the grey and make it black yourself.

That looks really good. I say leave it alone. In my opinion those wheels all black wouldn't look as good. Part of what defines them is the contrast.

I think it's an improvement from what you had before, that's easy. Just sucks that you've had bad luck with the balancing on the wheels. Maybe one day you'll reconsider and then we can help out

Looks really good, if it's the color you're at all worried about, there's many ways to change it.

I think that they look awesome! If you wished they were black, have you thought about plasti dipping them? I actually just did it to my wheels this week and they came out really good. I went thru 3 bottles ($6 bucks a piece at home depot) and that did all 4 wheels. You can always just peel it right off if you don't like it. just a thought.
