There ARE much better things to argue about!
I have family who are police... I am GREAT friends with 3 officers - IE.. we go out and goof off together.
I will tell you there there are cops that dislike other cops.
Cops are people.. JUST like us.. and you are gonna have great ones.. and jerks... that is life....
now... Everyone knows racing in ANY Measure whether your rippin it for a mile.. or 50 feet!...
Also... Nailin it from a stoplight / stopsign by yourself is illegal (as I found out!
)... The ticket is call "Excessive Acceleration"!... Although, I also found out that if you didn't squeel the tires, then it is an objective call and can be dropped with the help of a lawyer - but a ticket and a hassle none the less.
So.. when you get caught.. don't cry... just pay either your lawyer or da judge and get on with it. You can't diss the cop that busted you unless you were inside the QuickyMart when the OTHER Red mustang went speeding by and the cop runs inside knocking over your coffee giving YOU a ticket.. THEN you can "Bitch". LOL
If you don't want the cops attention... buy a cream colored escort and keep it under 45.

I agree with lawman. If you do something stupid in front of me and there a lot of people around I have no choice but to act. If I don't stop you everyone else in the area gets pissed off, and they all call to complain that I'm not doing my job. I come from a very small dept compared to lawman (about 30 sworn officers) and there is ALWAYS something better that needs to be done.
So don't bitch and complain when you do something stupid and then have to face up to YOUR decisions. Also if you hate the cops so much don't bother to call when you have a problem, such as your car being broken into or maybe you kid is missing. Go do the work yourself if you despise us so much.
Also what lawman said is true. A little respect goes a long way. Complaining and yelling will keep you being stopped twice as long with an even more expensive ticket. Act like a human being and you’re more likely to get off. About 80% of my traffic stops end up in warnings, so no we all not all complete dicks.

Well said Prof! I got a rather large speeding ticket a couple of weeks ago. Did a quick burst and hauled it back down again. Nobody around, except me and the cop! I deserved it. Plain and simple. The officer was only doing his job. He was cool and proffesional about it and I will take my lumps. My first speeding ticket in 15 years I guess that's not too bad but I felt like an *** just the same.
In regards to racing on the street. Just plain stupid and dangerous. Too many things can go wrong and when you think about it, it's wreckless endangerment. There's a very good reason it's illegal and police take it very seriously.

hey guess i almost went to jail tonigth for Racing.. It was so awsome..haha.. Well there is a guy at my work that has a 05 Vert and i wanted to race him see how they mesure up now that i have a tuner and he is bone stock. well when we were pulling out of the parking lot at work a cop drove by and looked me dead in the eyes and i know he knew what was up. Well i decided to run'em anywayz dumb @$$ that i am. Well we ran em but he didn't launch so i let off and then he blew past me so we turned on to the main road and made a u turn and as we were driving back here comes that cop he drove pat bustd a U-turn and my friend drove by and i turned at this light and so the cop got behind me and pulled me over. So i pulled out my military ID cause i usually get out of the ticket that way. well the first thing he said was im pulling you over for racing and i straight up told him no officer i wasn't racing.. he said i saw you lined up with that other car and i told him i was just saying hi to him since i work with him and all. Well he told me that i could go to jail for it but since he didn't actualy see us race he had to let me go. He told me to tell my friend not to race anymore bla bla bla.. i thougth it was pretty funny b/c the hole time i was denien the hole thing.. Well guys lesson learned dont' race around cops.. i know im an idiot!! but it was fun..

Be careful, and drive safely. If you want to race, take your GT out to the track. I would really hate to hear that someone here has killed someone or yourself.
