2014 MPG - GT and V6
Hey Guys,
I'm considering buying a 2014 mustang while they are being discounted for the 2015s.
I do mostly hw driving. Could you guys tell me what MPG you are getting and your average MPH?
I am trying to compare it to what I getting now in my 2006 V6.
Thanks.

I can get 32, 33 and even seen 34 when cruising along in the 62-70 mph area, but typically I average in the 28-29 with a combined 8 mile in town drive of mostly 45 zones to the freeway where then running 75-80 for 8 miles, except when traffic jams suck *****.
16 mile commute to work
When I head out to the fun roads it is low 20's to mid 20's depending on how much fun I have
When I tow it is about the same, 22ish typically
3:31 gears in the performance package and a 3 pedal, perhaps the 2:8? gears and an auto would net better, window sticker says auto is worth 2 mpg
But I have had a couple saleen mustangs with 5.0 that got me in the 28-30 range when I wanted them to. Of course that was 1989 and 1992 when they made zero horsepower in comparison.
I would expect the new 5.0 similarly equipped and driven wouldn't be too far off what the current V6 makes, maybe 2-3 mpg difference?
Hell we just recently got a 2014 focus and it gets the same mileage (within 1 mpg anyways) as my 2013 Mustang, go figure.

I hit a steady 23 MPG city and driving from GA to IN (600m) hopped me up with 29-ish. I have a v6 and I'm running aem full exhaust and factory 2.73 gears. I do tend to drive recklessly every now and then.
Say.. Purdue University? Where do you live at?

`13 V6 automatic 2.73 rear.
All interstate at 65MPH I can get 34MPG.
All interstate at 70MPH I can get 30MPG.
All interstate at 75MPH I can get 28MPG.
All city driving stop and go I get 24MPG.
Combine it all on a commute where I might go 65, then 75, then 55 based on traffic with some surface street driving at 35MPH I get a fair mixed average of 25.5MPG across a tank.
My family hates me on road trips, cause I drive 65MPH on the interstate.
