Leather difference between GT Base 400A and 401A

Besides the look, is there much difference in the quality/type of material? Does one seem to withstand more than the other? Is one higher maintenance?

No, no, and no. The premier trim package gets you a different pattern and one more color offering (red) but no other notable differences.
