Question 2014 climate control issue??? UPDATE

Sup guys....
I just picked up my 2014 Shelby. Get her on the freeway and try and turn on the air via the climate control and everything works except for when I select for the air to come out of the front vents. Rather I select head, dual... or the foot setting nothing gets changed and it stays on defrost. Any one know why I can't select any different vent settings or how or what to fix? Any input is valued. Thanks in advance.

Could be that your blend door may be broken. Does it pop quite a bit when you change from one to the other setting? Or is it the my ford touch system? If it is the my ford touch, they seem to have issues with the all-touch system. either way you're looking at a trip to the dealer.

No popping.... nothing at all? I am taking back to the dealer Monday and they want it for the whole day.... but i was hoping it was something simple so I could save a trip and not waste my whole day. :/

Possibly a glitch with the climate control module. By law, if something goes wrong in that module the system has to default to full defrost.

Thought Id give a little update. I guess the issue is one of the blend door actuators. I dropped it off at the dealer yesterday to fix it... they called back 9 hrs later and said they found the problem and they had that part in stock.. Then they call back another few hours later saying they fixed one actuator but it must be another one and they have to order the part... so I gotta take it back in a few days when the part gets in... and hopefully they fix right it next time.

THat sucks but better to have it be an issue/and fixed now vs when the car is near it's warranty end.

Hello 04stangman,

Has this been resolved for you? If not, I’d like to get this escalated to the customer service manager for your area. Please PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number.
