pros/cons 2013 coupe vs 2012 convertible
Just looking for opinions and to make sure I am not missing anything.
Looking to replace my near mint 01 GT convertible with either of the following:
- 2013 GT Premium Coupe (green), 5.0L, 6sp automatic w/sport shift. 4500 miles, leather, heated seats etc...
- 2012 GT Premium Convertible (black w/black top), 5.0L 6pd manual, 20,000 miles, leather, heated seats etc...
Both vehicles are at dealers and are priced identical at $30,000 window price.
A) Am I missing something that would make one vehicle over/under priced from the other?
B) Pros/Cons of one over the other?
Thx. I know everyones replies (if any) are opinions, but I value any input I can get.

as a convertible owner, i can tell you that with the top up, i completely could forget it was a convertible if I were kinda dumb. i honestly feel like I give up absolutely nothing having a convertible.
They are so much tighter chassis wise than the prior generations.
If you really wanted the coupe look, someone makes a removable hardtop for the vert that has the same lines as the coupe.

Thanks guys. i'm really torn on the whole manual/auto argument. I've had plenty of manual vehicles. Every time I was in traffic I complained. I've had plenty of automatics too. And every time I have one I say I wish I had a manual
Here are pictures of the two vehicles. (the pic of the green on isnt the actual car, but looks exactly the same)

If it were me I'd go 2013 Coupe (green). I like the 2013 styling better, plus HID headlights are appealing to me. A bit more left on the warranty (if that even matters) and it'd be less of a b!tch to care for the paint. I have a black '13 and although it's purdy when clean, it does show imperfections.
I dunno...for me newer is better. Plus that green is sick and really stands out. As for auto/manual, I've always had auto (I'm lame). Grass (or Mustang) is always greener...

A) Generally speaking I think that the asking price should be pretty comparable for those 2 cars.
B) 2012 - Manual, Convertible, Black (can you tell why I have that bias, lol)
2013 - GHIG is so unique and is my 2nd favorite mustang color, lower miles, 2013 5.0 is different from the factory (See: Cylinder #8 failures) so it doesn't have the issues that the '11-12s had. If you plan on heavy mods, then I would go with 2013.
You have a tough choice ahead of you. As danielle said, I feel like I sacrificed nothing to have a convertible. These cars are amazing. On the other hand, GHIG is an eye catching color and looks amazing, but its an auto and not a drop-top.
Final vote: 2012 Vert.

I'd go with the '13, but obviously I'm biased. If you don't have a preference over the body differences or the transmission then it's kind of a wash. Although if that green car is identical to the one at the dealership, it has Brembos if not track pack. Is the Vert a California? Because those are California rims. That would be two other things to consider.
I would talk them down considerably on that '12, though. They are asking too much for that many miles and being a body style older.
