Default AC Control Unit?

So my AC started blowing hot after I did some work on my car. I know nothing about AC units so I take to a shop to get tested. The levels ane good, and the guy said when he runs power directly to the compressor it kicks on and blows cold air just fine. He told me its a bad AC control unit and would cost me $700. When I asked what he meant by AC control unit he told me its the computer that all the ***** are attached to that controls the compressor. I can't find anything on google that resembls that or anything that should cost $700 to replace. I did take the ***** and stuff off to get to some wiring on my radio so I wonder if I didn't plug something back.

All the lights come on, such as when I press the AC button or the circulate air button, and the ***** work so its just a little odd. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I don't think the 05-09 cars have a separate climate control module like the 10+ ones do. The control panels themselves can be found on http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-2009-Ford-Mustang-Heater-Climate-Control-PN-3F2H-19808-AH-/201071406037?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ed0ca2bd5&vxp=mtr for about $40.

In addition to checking the connectors, I would check the climate control related fuses:
Interior fuse box: #10 (5A), #12 (5A), #14 (5A)
Underhood fuse box: #2 (30A), #49 (15A)

Well, all the connections seem fine but this morning something else started happening. My radio now doesn't work. It will come on then off then on and just keep doing that. I pulled that out and again all the connections look fine. I checked the fuses, they seem fine, nothing was popped out or anything like that. So, what should I check now?

I doubt you car leaks since it's an '09, but its possible. Is there any dampness in the passenger footwell area? Also, did you do any electrical work when you installed the supercharger?

Haven't noticed any dampness. I did some electrical work since I had to modify a few parts of the wiring harness for the supercharger. There was also an "ad a fuse" attachment thingy for my gauges and the kenne bell BAP. I'm not sure if any of those would effect it.

Do you have another car battery that you can connect temporarily? I've seen internally shorted batteries cause some weird electrical problems.

Also, did you disconnect any grounds when you installed the supercharger? Where did you ground the gauges?

I did disconnect a few grounds in the engine bay for the supercharger. I ground the gauges to the frame. I haven't been able to look at it for a few days since my car blew a fuel line right on top of the gas tank. It went to the shop and they don't work on the weekends. I'm going to try my friends battery and AC Control unit from his car when I get mine back.
