So I need to replace my Rearview mirror, but I cannot figure out how to remove the base from the windshield.
2 dealerships and safelite we unable to help me.

The reason they wont help you is that the windshield will crack sometimes during removal. I had the dealership take mine off and the windshield cracked. There is a tool use to remove the mirror. It slides between the windshield and the base. It spreads the locking tabs allowing the mirror to slide off the base.
